Root Canal Therapy

 

When a tooth has decay that has spread through the enamel and dentin and reached the pulp, or nerve, root canal therapy may be indicated. This surprisingly easy procedure is known for its bad reputation but modern techniques allow this procedure to be done much more easily and painlessly than in the past.  Local anesthetic will be administered, similar to as if you were getting a filling done, and before you know it, the procedure will be completed.  Root canal therapy allows your natural dentition to be saved and helps alleviate pain and infection.   If a certain situation is more complex than normal, a root canal specialist may be needed and we will happily refer you to a local endodontist.
